Commander Zhangshi's Residence is generally called the Great Commander's Residence, and was used as the mansion and the residence for Zhang Zuolin and his son Zhang Xueliang.
    The Residence covers an area of 16,000-square-meter, consisting of the east courtyard, the middle courtyard, the west courtyard and the outer yard, and surrounded by a 3-meter-plus wall of black brick. It is regarded as one of the excellent building groups in modern times.
    The Residence used to be the center of the political activities of Northeast China, where certain historical events such as “Northeast China Changes Flag” took place.
